  1. Bullion refers to preucois metal that doesn’t have official money value. For example an American Silver Eagle contains one ounce of pure silver, which at current market price is worth over $30 just for the metal content. It also has an official one-dollar face value so you could actually spend it at the store and get a buck’s worth of groceries, though it would be dumb to do so. A generic bullion’ round also contains an ounce of silver worth $30+, but isn’t backed by the government.
